The Space Between Spaces
Where Everything Is
Our lives are trails through great ranges
filled with long plains, ravines, valleys, foothills and mountains
The lines of life's monologues are silence
punctuated with questions and exclamations
The space between spaces is where we live
The space between moments is most of life

The space between other spaces is almost everything. The space between moments is everywhere. It's most of life.
Our lives are trails through great green ranges separating foothills, ravines, valleys and mountains. The lines of life's monologue are punctuated with questions and exclamations.
Where would bread be without quiet leavening and then the tempering with our fists? Think of the years Da Vinci took between brush strokes and scraping of marble by hand.
The mastery of the mash, followed by years of surrendering an angels' share, makes the malt. It takes a generation, or a trough of disappointment, for "new new things" to be norms.
The Spice Road was a string of tradesmen on long lonely roads crossing deserts to the next oasis. A runners' handover of the baton is an urgent space, since no relay means no race.
The explosion of pistons, moves the drive trains, and spins the wheels, because it's the space between sparks that keeps on us the road between rest stops.
The time between supernovas, the implosion and explosion of stars, is where and when new matter and life emerges.
The marksman's trigger pulled between heartbeats is what hits the mark. The space between light hitting our eyes and our brain's rendering of reality is when our mind marries context with content.
The calm and quiet in a conversation means we're not talking over but to each other, and we’re in communion with others.
The comfort zone, that space between starting and stopping, is where the doing gets done.
It's the quiet between contractions that create, conceive and consecrate. It's the connections between the nodes of every network, the anticipation, and bated breath, before consummation, and the continuation between commencement and conclusion.
The space between other spaces is where we all live.
The space between moments is most of life.
