This is a very touching record of your father ( and you). Those memories, written down, show your love and respect for him and I thank you for sharing. What an interesting life he must have had.
The whole journey of this is oh, SO incredible! I am thankful that you've been writing for this long, and shared lots from your journey. Thank you for this man, family really is so precious.
My dad died in 2012. It rocked my world. In that last month I spent with him, assisting in his care, we had a different sort of relationship. He told me stories of his boyhood and teen years, growing up in the 40’s, that I’d never heard before. Some scenes and descriptions ended up in my novel. I miss my dad every single day...no lie.
Thank you for sharing what it was like, this means a lot to me, I am honored. I'm so glad to know you had time with your father, that he told you his stories, and about what his life was like. And I'm very happy that this lives on in your words, this is wonderful. I know you understand.
